K&U industrial bakery

The project presents the concept of a large-scale, industrially organized bakery in Hassloch, Germany, designed as a clear and highly functional production and logistics hub. The design follows a rational, functional concept:

- production, logistics, administration, and technical infrastructure are distinctly zoned yet efficiently interconnected. -

The low-profile complex integrates seamlessly into its industrial surroundings, and generous site layouts ensure smooth circulation for deliveries, dispatch, and staff movements.

The architecture adopts a functional and restrained approach, reflecting the operational logic of the facility. Large hall volumes define production areas, while the administration building serves as an independent, clearly legible structure with horizontal band windows, providing transparency and a representative façade. A vertical silo element marks the production core, making the storage and processing of raw materials visible and giving the complex a strong, identity-defining silhouette.

Dedicated truck zones, separate entrances and exits, and clearly organized traffic routes support efficient, uninterrupted 24/7 operations. The linear hall arrangement minimizes distances and streamlines production workflows.

Light, neutral-colored facades emphasize the industrial character. Large, calm surfaces convey order, while carefully placed openings ensure daylight, orientation, and visual communication.Green structures, tree rows, and defined outdoor spaces articulate the building mass, support orientation, and separate traffic from recreational areas.

Overall Concept:
The bakery embodies a contemporary industrial concept combining operational efficiency with architectural clarity: robust, functional, and well-organized, visually structured, and serving as an identity-defining, highly functional workplace integrated into its environment.
